My nihilism is defeated only by my apathy.

Just thought of something today that really stuck with me… First impressions are total bullshit. Yet people spend so much time preparing for them, putting on shows to impress people that they haven’t met before either that they tend to forget about analyzing the other person and focus completely on themselves, leading to a mass of conceited assholes. You don’t go to a show and listen to a band play one song and form your opinion. A first impression or an initial thought is one without any real critique or thought at all. For me its as if some unseen voice puts “initial thoughts” in my head and sometimes I wonder “who the hell thinks like that?” When its me… so when I meet people, the ones I can’t peg or read right off the bat are the ones I want to see again, the ones I crave to learn more of. I believe this rant is over for now.
